Edmonton, Alberta indie trio Scenic Route to Alaska have released their sophomore album, Warrington. Not unlike fellow Canadian’s Rush, Scenic Route to Alaska’s sound is marked by the distinct drumming of Shea Connor. From the slow build of “Every Year or So” and “For Dot” to the bass thump of “Flowers” and Warrington‘s opening single, “Paris,” Connor and bassist Murray Wood lay the foundation for Trevor Mann’s meandering guitar playing and vocals. The trio’s prowess is on display on the obvious “Instrumental.”
