The songs of Peacock Affect, the recording moniker of Exeter, England’s George Holman, are borne of their author’s emotional and mental struggles. The above lyrics from the lachrymose “The Heaven Smiles” state Holman’s dour outlook right off. Immediately recalling one Steven Patrick Morrissey, Holman posits, “Do you ever wonder why you’re alone tonight?”

“The Heaven Smiles” and the indifferent questioning of “Wallflower” will be issued as a double a-side single on 12 January 2015.
