The third time’s the charm for former Oxford Collapse frontman Mike Pace. Having recently issued his solo debut, Best Boy, under the moniker Mike Pace and the Child Actors, Pace has released a third video from the album, a cheeseball sendup of all things ’80s for the song “Kiss & Fly.”
Skewering the likes of Duran Duran, Pink Floyd and every hair metal band that donned spandex, the video for the synth-heavy “Kiss & Fly” pays tribute to the nascent days of MTV, Miami Vice and excess of the decade’s cocaine rich, complete with epic sunsets, exterior shots and the ubiquitous sax solo on the beach. The only detail overlooked in the video is the Rudy Sarzo stand-in playing the bass left-handed.
