Adding to the minor canon of rock songs by the likes of Donovan, Frank Zappa, Robert Pollard and Gaslight Anthem about shirts, Chicago punk quartet The Bomb contributes “Silent Fall,” a coy ode to a misplaced garment that doubles as a tale of lost love.
To be released on the band’s forthcoming The Axis of Awesome 12″ due out 17 March, the five-song EP, which includes a cover of The Dwarves’ “Backseat of My Car,” will be issued as a one-sided vinyl on clear Coke bottle-colored vinyl. The dead wax b-side will include a multi-color screen print.
