Despite its title, there is nothing not to love about “Philophobia,” the debut single from Australia’s Copywrite.
Taken from the band’s forthcoming debut LP, A Heart of Glass, “Philophobia” is raw and unadorned rock. Recorded in band members’ homes beginning when they were just 16, the album was completed following high school graduation. With lines like “I’m afraid to lose myself / In this world built to fall / How easy it would crumble / If I focus on the piece and not the puzzle” any fear of juvenile sentiment is assuaged.
A Heart of Glass will be released on 11 August. Commit to Copywrite by watching the video for “Philophobia” below.
