Falling in the middle of the continuum that marked Manchester, England in the late 1980s, Welsh quartet Kidsmoke err on the dreamier side of indie rock. With melodic, guitar-driven pop that made its way to America courtesy of college radio and after-hours MTV, latest single “Heartache” is a 4AD-tinged hit a quarter-century in the making.
To be released as a limited-edition CD single with b-side “Cut Yourself Loose” on 8 April, Kidsmoke will play select UK dates this spring and summer. Full schedule follows:
