Hailing from North Carolina, folk balladeer Andy Ferrell mines his Appalachian roots while gunning for Music City on his latest album, At Home and In Nashville.
Noting “I almost always have to be traveling to write good songs,” the same holds true for recording. The aptly titled At Home and In Nashville finds Ferrell splitting time between Nashville and the Tar Heel State. Recording the first half of the album with a full band in Nashville, the latter songs were recorded live at The Jones House in Boone, North Carolina.
A gifted storyteller and old soul, Bucket Full of Nails is proud to premiere “Run Billy Run,” Ferrell’s live take on famed outlaw Billy the Kid. Stream the song below and purchase At Home and In Nashville via CD Baby.
