I hear there’s no good men left
Everyone in Nashville’s deaf
Sad songs are a thing of the past
Proving these lines from “Unbroken Hearts” false, Indiana singer/songwriter Austin Lucas returns with Between the Moon and the Midwest, the follow up to 2013’s Stay Reckless.
Lucas spins a countrified love triangle of cold months and dark hours. Produced by Joey Kneiser (Glossary) and featuring John Moreland, Cory Branan and Lydia Loveless, the ten songs of Between the Moon and the Midwest include twang-tinged rockers and lovelorn ballads like “Pray for Rain” which you can stream below.
Lucas will embark on a tour starting 8 April with Kneiser and Kelly Smith. See full schedule here.
Packed with heart, tears and authenticity only Lucas can provide, Between the Moon and the Midwest will be released on 27 May. Pre-order the album on vinyl and CD formats via Last Chance Records.
