Best of 2016

Due to an occupational change that began in early September, my ability to listen to new music was severely hindered during the last quarter of 2016. That said, after revisiting all the albums reviewed for Bucket Full of Nails beginning in January, it is unlikely any releases I missed in that latter third of 2016 would supplant the following five albums that comprise this year’s Best Of List.

#1 Wussy – Forever Sounds (Shake It / Damnably)

#2 Daniel Markham – Disintegrator (self-released)

#3 John Calvin Abney – Far Cries and Close Calls (Horton / Continental Road)

#4 Jeremy Squires – Shadows (Shaker Steps)

#5 Pauline Andrès – The Heart Breaks (self-released)
